ASOS billionaire Anders Holch Povlsens three children killed in the Sri Lanka Easter Sunday bombings were laid to rest in funeral today attended by Denmarks Royal family

The funeral has today taken place for the three young children of ASOS billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen who were killed in the Sri Lanka bombings.

The fashion tycoon and Scotlands biggest individual landowner Mr Povlsen and his wife bid their beloved children farewell in three small coffins decked with flowers.

The funeral was attended by member of Denmarks royal family and the countrys Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.

Mr Povlsens son Alfred and daughters Alma and Agnes were killed by suicide bombers who hit the Shangri-La hotel in Sri Lankas capital of Colombo, during Easters attacks.

He was thought to have been injured in the attack too, although little has been publicly revealed about how badly Mr Povlsen was hurt.

The three children were farewelled today in a service at Aarhus Cathedral in Denmark.

The family split their time between their home country, and Scotland, where nature-loving Mr Povlsen owns vast swathes of the Highlands.

TheDaily Mailreports at a memorial service in Brande, Denmark, yesterday,a text message from the family was read out describing the loss as completely incomprehensible.

The message reportedly said: With the many lovely people we have around us, close friends, talented colleagues and our loving family we will come together through it.

We greatly appreciate the humanity that is also shown in Brande tonight – not only to our families and children, but to all the victims of the cruel acts in Sri Lanka.

He and his wife had reportedly planned to leave much of their land to their children, in hopes their progeny would continue their passion project of re-wilding their land.

The couple wanted to pass on their dreams of allowing the land to return to its natural state because they will not live to see the project through.

Tragically, their children were among the hundreds who lost their lives in the Easter Sunday attacks.
